Campbell Memorial Church
Location: Vinton, VirginiaSize: 7599 square feet
Construction style: Hybrid building technologies including wood and structural steel framing, structural insulated panels and glue laminate beams.
Opportunity: Campbell Memorial Church was bursting at its seams. The original structure, which was built in the 60s was in need of renovation. Construction of a new worship sanctuary, was needed to prepare for future growth. The mandate of the church’s building committee was to build a sanctuary that would be truly inspirational and a glory to God.
Application: Budget is an important consideration for churches. It took a seven-year commitment by Structures and the church to make the project happen. After a five-year capital campaign for the building fund the construction finally began. The completed facility accommodates the future growth of the church and provides beautiful place to worship.
